Rochambeau Lodge - A Unique New England Lodging

Rochambeau Lodge is a handsome renovated barn filled with rustic wood paneling and very comfortable country furnishings that give it a unique and unforgettable charm. It was named for Jean-Baptiste Donatien de Vimeur, comte de Rochambeau, a French marshal who acted as a Lieutenant General in the Revolutionary War and whose leadership was key to the victory at Yorktown.

Rochambeau overlooks the beautiful Walpole countryside and is minutes away from Alyson’s Orchard. Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen with a gorgeous 12-foot table in the dining area, 2 ½ baths and eight bedrooms which sleep 16-18 guests comfortably. Rochambeau is the perfect place to stay for one-party groups such as weddings, business retreats or family gatherings, and is handicapped accessible.

Throughout the seasons, Rochambeau is an ideal home away from home to come back to. After a day of hiking, biking or skiing, Rochambeau provides a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. Nothing feels as good as relaxing in the sauna after an eventful day in the cold, winter air. Or, during the warmer months, nothing beats barbequing dinner on the outdoor grill, a game of horseshoes and watching the sun set. Need to stay in touch with the outside world? Rochambeau is equipped with WI-FI and satellite TV. There is a DVD player and stereo for your entertainment and a washer/dryer for cleaning off the New England countryside acquired during the day’s activities.

A Birthday Success Alyson’s Orchard – We stayed at Rochambeau for my 30th birthday last weekend. I just wanted to write you a thank you for a lovely venue. Thanks for the Memories Dear Mr. Jasse,   We couldn’t let another week pass by without writing to tell you that we appreciate your hospitality this summer. We will remember the week we spent at Alyson’s Orchard all year long! Each one of us will remember something special.   The children spent their mornings in the playground, afternoons swimming in the pond and in the evenings we drove to nearby Walpole for hot chocolates!   Some of us adults enjoyed running in the morning, bocce ball, and picnic lunches by the pond in the afternoon. The history of Alyson’s Orchard is very interesting. Walking through the orchard was an adventure. We didn’t know there were so many different varieties of apples!   Dinner is a big deal in our family and cooking for twelve is not easy. The kitchen in Rochambeau was large enough for three adults to help prepare meals. And the table was big enough to seat our entire family – which is something we don’t often find when we vacation together.   After dinner, we sent the children to bed, opened up a bottle of wine and sat down for a serious game of cards. The one and only teenager in our group appreciated the space upstairs in the lodge. In the evening, he was able to talk on his cell phone, play video games and listen to music without interruption.   Thanks for the memories. The Brennans and the McGoverns

Rochambeau Lodge Pricing* - 2009-10

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Rochambeau. - $50 per dog, per stay.
January 4- June 30 - $1,500/2 nights. Each night thereafter - $100. (Minimum 2 night stay)

Week - $2,000

July 1- October 12 - - $2,000/2 nights.  Each night thereafter - $100.  (Minimum 2 night stay) 

We also rent by the week (Friday - Friday only) - $2,500  

October 13 - January 3** $1,500/2 nights. Each night thereafter - $100.  (Minimum 2 night stay)

Week - $2,000

**Excluding Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's weeks

Thanksgiving Week - $2,500/4 nights. Each night thereafter - $100

(Minimum 4 night stay)

Christmas Week (12/24 - 12/29): $2,600/5 nights.

(Minimum 5 night stay)

New Year's Week (12/30 - 1/4): $2,600/5 nights. Each night thereafter - $100

(Minimum 5 night stay)

Check In & Cancellation Policies

Check in 3:00 pm - Check out 10:00 am, unless otherwise arranged.

Cancellations - 50% of the deposit is refundable 60 days or more before the reserved date. Cancellations within 21 days are subject to the full rental charge unless we are able to re-rent the reserved period. A major credit card (in lieu of a damage and security deposit) and 1/2 of the rental fee are required to confirm a reservation. The balance is payable 21 days prior to arrival.
